Federico Torres-Carballo

Federico Torres-Carballo, is currently R&D Director of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications of Costa Rica. He holds a Ph.D. in Business Economics of the University of Valencia, Spain, with postgraduate studies in Information Technology, University of Salamanca. Torres-Carballo is Costa Rica’s delegate for the Committee of Scientific and Technological Policy (CSTP) in OECD. He is member of the Health Research Commission, the National Biosafety Commission, the Atomic Energy Commission and the Sustainable Development Foundation CEGESTI. Torres-Carballo is Full professor at the Costa Rica Institute of Technology. His research interests include scientific policy, bioeconomy, behavioral economics, ICTs, entrepreneurship and knowledge management.
