Sandra Venghaus

Head of Research Group at Forschungszentrum Jülich

Sandra Venghaus received her B.A. in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard University and her PhD in Economics from the Leibniz University of Hannover before she became a senior scientist at the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research. She currently works at the Institute of Energy and Climate Research – Systems Analysis and Technology Evaluation (IEK-STE) at the Forschungszentrum Jülich, where she is head of the research group “Ethics, sustainability and the resource nexus.” She is also coordinator of the BioSC Junior Research Group “Transform2Bio: Integrated Transformation Processes and their Regional Implementations: Structural Change from Fossil Economy to Bioeconomy.”
